Is there anything that isn't treason?

I would like to thank Glenn Taras for his "Real patriots cut back on gas use" (July 21st Fence Post).

Every summer, I pack up the gas-guzzling SUV, hitch up the boat and my family along with my brother's gas-guzzling SUV, boat and family and head off for two weeks of soul renewing family time in Michigan's beautiful upper peninsula.

We always looked forward to this time of year together.

Until I read Glenn's thoughts, I never thought of this as treasonous and unpatriotic. Have I become an American that cares only about his family?

This will be our last summer of going on this unpatriotic American vacation.

Obviously, going on a gas-guzzling airplane to a Caribbean island is out of the question. How more unpatriotic could it get than that?

My hope and prayer is that Glenn helps me and all people to figure out what is patriotic and what is treasonous?

I now question if cutting my grass with a fancy gas-guzzling lawn mower, cooking a burger on the grill going inside my air-conditioned house and watching a Cubs game on my Japanese-made TV on a Sunday afternoon is also considered treasonous?

Glenn's America sounds fantastic.

From smoking, SUV and pickup truck bans, to more speeding and gas consumption laws, to finally every treasonous gas -guzzling SUV driving man proving his manhood by fighting a war in Iraq that Glenn admits is over oil.

There's no hypocrisy in Glenn's America.
