One hurt in Libertyville crash

A motorcyclist was badly hurt Wednesday after he collided with a car in Libertyville, authorities said.

The accident happened about 3:30 p.m. on Peterson Road, west of Milwaukee Avenue. Authorities blocked off both sides of Peterson after the crash.

The unidentified motorcyclist, who Libertyville firefighters said was not wearing a helmet, was the only person hurt. He was flown by emergency helicopter to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

No other details were available as Libertyville police continued investigating the crash.
