Blood Drive: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 23, Anderson Court, Building A, College of Lake County, 19351 W. Washington St., Grayslake. Donors must be 17 or older, weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health and not have donated blood within 56 days. The blood drive will be conducted on a walk-in basis. Beth Judea rummage sale donations: July 27 through Aug. 1, Congregation Beth Judea, on Route 83 and Hilltop Road in Long Grove. The Sisterhood of Congregation Beth Judea will be accepting gently-used, clean clothing, jewelry, belts, hats and scarves, small household goods, small appliances, small furniture, books and toys. They cannot accept bathing suits, socks, underwear, computer hardware, or large furniture and appliances. No items will be accepted during the day of the Rummage Sale, Aug. 3. Food for Fines: July 27 to Aug. 2, Indian Trails Public Library District, 355 S. Schoenbeck Road, Wheeling. The library welcomes all donated nonperishable food items; for every donated item, $1 will be waived in library fines. Food items must be in good condition, without dents and not in glass containers. Patrons can donate as many food items as they like. This program does not apply to fees for lost or damaged library items. For details, call Jennifer Koch, at (847) 279-2224.
