Summer-league tourney postponed a day by rain

Monday morning's rain forced the postponement of the first day of the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association summer league Elite Eight tournament in Naperville.

Opening games will be at two sites today. At North Central College: Waubonsie Valley vs. Oak Park at 10 a.m. and Lincoln-Way East vs. Naperville Central at 12:30 p.m. At Benedictine University: Prairie Ridge vs. Brother Rice at 10 a.m. and Warren vs. Elk Grove at 12:30 p.m.

Wednesday - At North Central: Brother Rice vs. Warren at 10 a.m. and Elk Grove vs. Prairie Ridge at 12:30 p.m. At Benedictine - Oak Park vs. L-W East at 11 a.m. and Naperville Central vs. Waubonsie at 1:30 p.m.

Thursday: At North Central - Waubonsie vs. L-W East at 10 a.m. and Oak Park vs. Naperville Central at 12:30 p.m. At Benedictine - Elk Grove vs. Brother Rice at 11 a.m. and Prairie Ridge vs. Warren at 1:30 p.m.

The semifinals were moved to Friday at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at North Central. The championship remains at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Benedictine.
