Cook Co.'s top prosecutor to address NU law class
Cook County State's Attorney Richard Devine will be passing on some his knowledge from more than a decade as the county's top prosecutor.
Devine is delivering the keynote address at Northwestern University's School of Law Short Course for Prosecuting Attorneys on Monday.
The four-day program helps attorneys learn about the latest developments in scientific crime detection.
Among the highlights are a focus on forensic science -- including DNA analysis -- and its impact on criminal investigations.
Devine was elected as the county's top prosecutor in November 1996.
