Algonquin
• A Palatine man was arrested at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday on the 700 Brentwood Drive, police said. Michael Fedor, 30, of 935 W. Kenilworth, was charged with aggravated battery, police said. Fedor was held in the McHenry County jail on $1,500 bond with an Aug. 4 court date in Woodstock.
• Two teen girls were accused of shoplifting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Kohl's Department Store, 734 Randall Road, police said. A 16-year-old from Gilberts and a 16-year-old from West Dundee were charged with retail theft, police said. The two were released with notices to appear in court in Woodstock on Aug. 19.
Elgin
• An Elgin man was accused of selling undercover officers 6 grams of cocaine at 8 p.m. Thursday on Elgin's east side, police said. Audon Lopez-Serrato, 37, of 1235 Mohawk Drive, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, police said. Lopez-Serrato was held in the Kane County jail on $15,000 bond with a July 30 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.
• An Elgin man wanted on a California warrant was arrested at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, police said. Lawrence Joseph Durbeck, 43, of 1223 Fleetwood Drive, ws charged with parole violation, police said. Durbeck was held in the Kane County jail to aawait pickup by California authorities.
• An Elgin man who failed to appear in court July 11 was arrested Thursday, police said. Jose Alonzo, 19, of 452 N. Grove Ave., was charged with the possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said. Alonzo was held in the Elgin lockup on $1,000 bond with a July 25 court date in Elgin.
Kane County
• Esteban Alferes, 20, of 696 Ludlow, Elgin, was charged with resisting and obstructing a peace officer, illegal operation of a sound amplification system, driving without a valid license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle, at 4:50 p.m. on Highland Center in Elgin.
• Tyler Kilbert, 23, of 4 Oxford, Apt. 1, Carpentersville, was charged with possession of less than 30 grams of cannabis and driving without a front license plate, at 5:42 p.m. July 12 at Skyline Drive and Mapletree, Carpentersville.
St. Charles
• Jil M. Bondi, 34, of 2018 Jeffrey Lane, Elgin, was arrested at 9:25 p.m. July 6 and charged with reckless driving after losing control of a vehicle and striking a tree at Campton Hills and Peck roads, police said. One injured passenger was treated at Delnor-Community Hospital in Geneva, police said in a report.
South Elgin
• An Elgin man was arrested Thursday on a warrant, police said. Brian Grisette, 19, of the 300 block of Ann Street in South Elgin was charged with driving while license suspended, police said. Grisette was released on recognition with a Monday court date at Elgin Branch Court.
