Rhetoric sounds like 1967 again

For those that are too young or naive to remember, the anti-war rhetoric today is strangely similar to what we heard in 1967.

Just listen to the lyrics of "For What It's Worth" by Buffalo Springfield and see if it doesn't sound familiar with the doom and gloom presented today.

They, who contributed the least and complained the most, were wrong then and they are wrong again now.

Somehow, despite their constant criticism and lack of contribution, the nation has survived and despite the nay-sayers, it will again.

Thanks for your lead front-page article on Allen Lynch, a true hero who deserves the long-overdue recognition.

Isn't it strange how the heroes choose to keep quiet about their accomplishments while the critics are very vocal despite their lack of participation?

Maybe, in this election year, the voters will wake up and elect some doers as opposed to the current talkers who only complain about what all is wrong but do nothing.

Since we have a Congress that has an approval rating less than 10 percent, far below Bush, and has proven to be incompetent in doing anything positive, why don't we all vote the non-contributors out and in the spirit of "Change," vote their opponents in?

That would be change!

Changing the current incompetent, do-nothing Congress out would be the first step in real change for this country.
