Obama is for change - changing his mind

Barack Obama's campaign slogan is "Change you can believe in". Changing his position repeatedly seems to be the most outstanding characteristic of his campaign.

He has:

Changed from a "cut-and-run" policy on Iraq to pledging that he would consult with the military first.

Changed plans to get campaign money from public financing to get money through private fundraising.

Changed from threatening to filibuster a bill to protect companies who cooperated on national security wiretaps to voting for the bill.

Changed from opposition to a proposal to impose Social Security taxes on income over $200,000 to support of the proposal.

Changed from his lifetime support of gun control to support a Supreme Court decision recognizing a Second Amendment right to bear arms.

Changed from a 100 percent pro-choice position to doubting partial-birth abortion.

Changed from favoring an undivided Jerusalem to accepting a divided Jerusalem.

Changed to open support of church-based institutions to deliver services to support the poor from silence on the subject.

Changed from supporting merit pay for teachers, but to get union support he now opposes it.

Without a doubt Obama is truly the candidate of change
