St. Charles man charged with exposing self at library

A 52-year-old St. Charles man is charged with public indecency for exposing himself at the library, police said today.

Gerald E. Fries, of 7N035 Watseka Ave., was arrested without incident about 4:10 p.m. Tuesday after staff members witnessed Fries expose himself while facing a bookshelf toward the rear of the library, 1 S. Sixth Ave.

Public indecency is a Class A misdemeanor. Fries is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 28.
