Aptakisic Road closed after car hits pole

A car was on fire after crashing into a telephone pole near Aptakisic Road and Prairie Road in Buffalo Grove around 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, said Buffalo Grove Fire Department Deputy Chief Dan Pearson.

Aptakisic Road was closed between Prairie and Weiland roads while ComEd came out to fix the broken pole, Pearson said. The pole did not fall over.

The fire department did not immediately know if there were any injuries or if other vehicles were involved.

The police and fire departments are investigating the crash.
