Best Buy stores to test instruments

DOWNERS GROVE - Consumer electronics retailer Best Buy is bringing its Musical Instrument concept to the area, opening two "store-within-a-store" concepts in its existing Downers Grove and Aurora locations this weekend.

The stores will carry guitars, drums, keyboards, pro-audio and home recording gear. They will also feature high-end brands, including Fender, Gibson, Roland, Korg, Yamaha, Line 6, Drum Workshop, Shure and Zildjian. Lessons and repairs will be done in each store.

Blues guitarist Buddy Guy will perform and sign autographs at noon Saturday at the Downers Grove store, 1432 Butterfield Road. Grammy award winner Jim Peterik will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Aurora location, 4400 E. New York St.
