Briefs: How to handle an emergency
Learn how to provide basic first aid and how to handle emergencies at the Dundee Township Public Library's seminar on basic first aid and when to call 911. The library will host the event at 7 p.m. July 22, at the West Dundee Public Safety Center II, 100 Carrington Road. Elgin city leaders have launched a new tool for residents to find out when their streets will be resurfaced this summer. Fresh produce in Huntley
Saturdays in Huntley mean fresh produce and treats in the village's historic downtown. The village is hosting a farmers market for the second year in a row. The market started June 7 and ends Sept. 27. You can buy produce, plants, pet food and desserts from at least eight local vendors from 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays on Coral Street.
