Relieved to see movement on old gas station

My wife and I were happy to see that the Arlington Heights Village Board is finally taking action on the property at Arlington Heights Road and Golf Road.

The lot and building are disgusting eyesores, not at all like the green spaces in other vacant properties in the Central Business District.

Tiles are now blowing off the roof. There are gravel and tiles everywhere including on the sidewalks and streets. The owner talks about the Village wanting the site to be "pretty" but the first action ought to be a basic cleanup!

By the way, we all pay taxes on our property and almost all of us make sure our property doesn't become an disaster as bad as this one.

Who buy an abandoned gas station and wants to convert it to a restaurant anyway?
