72-year-old Huntley man flown to hospital after accident
An unindentified 72-year-old Huntley man was airlifted to Rockford Memorial Hospital Friday after the semi truck he drove left the road and hit several trees in Harvard, according to a news release from the McHenry County Sheriff's Department.
The man, who possessed a pre-existing medical condition that caused him to black out, was treated on the scene before being flown to the hospital, the release said.
About 3:30 p.m., the man was driving south on Route 14 near Windy Hill Road when for unknown reasons his truck left the road on the west side, came back to the road, crossed over onto Route 14 and slammed into multiple trees east of the road.
His condition was not available. The investigation is continuing.
