Fire bows out of U.S. Open Cup
GERMANTOWN, Md. -- Bryan Namoff scored in extra time Tuesday night to help D.C. United defeat the Chicago Fire 2-1 and advance to the semifinals of the U.S. Open Cup.
Daniel Woolard opened the scoring in the 36th minute for the Fire. Francis Doe tied the score in the 77th for United.
Namoff netted the winner in the 99th minute, heading a corner kick by Jaime Moreno.
