Palatine man charged with unlawful restraint of teenage girl
A Palatine man was ordered held on $50,000 bond Saturday for allegedly terrifying a teenage girl and making sexual overtures to her.
Jhonatan Nelchor-Rodriguez, 20, 1304 Turtle Creek Drive, is charged with unlawful restraint, battery and unlawful consumption of alcohol after an incident shortly after 10 p.m. in a parking lot near his home.
During a hearing at the Rolling Meadows courthouse Saturday, Cook County prosecutors said Nelchor-Rodriguez grabbed the hand of a 14-year-old girl who was walking by and blocked her when she tried to get away.
Authorities also allege he tried to kiss the teenager, who is hearing-impaired. Nelchor-Rodriguez's next court date is set for July 25.
