Cry for help leads to Elgin arrest

A call to 911 resulted in the arrest of a Hanover Park man for the unlawful restraint of a teenage girl Friday, authorities said.

Francisco Hernandez, 23, of 4514 E. Whitney, is also charged with domestic battery and illegal use of a driver's license. He was ordered held on $75,000 bond during a hearing Saturday at the Rolling Meadows courthouse.

Cook County prosecutors allege Hernandez pulled a 15-year-old girl back into a car with him, although she tried to leave, while they were parked in the 1200 block of Rosewood Court in Elgin early Friday.

He also is accused of striking and choking the girl. Someone in the neighborhood who heard the teenager screaming called police, who found her in the car naked with marks on her face. Hernandez's next court date is Aug. 1.
