Summer playgrounds camp moved to May Street Park

The Fox Valley Park District's Summer Playgrounds Camps at Greene Field Park have been moved to May Street Park.

Summer Playgrounds is a free, seven-week program that offers activities such as sports, arts, crafts, reading time, field trips and special events. Registration is taken at the playground for children entering grades 1 to 5.

This year's program was moved due to ongoing renovation at Greene Field Park. May Street Park is located one block east between Highland Avenue and May Street, just south of Illinois Avenue, in Aurora.

Summer Playgrounds runs through July 25, meeting daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition to May Street, camps will be held at Fearn Playground (1600 Hawksley Drive, North Aurora) and Waubonsie Lake Park (Kautz Road, Aurora).

Phillips Park will also host Summer Playgrounds through July 25.
