Sky waives Queenan
The Chicago Sky announced Monday that forward Brooke Queenan has been waived.
Queenan, a 6-feet-2 player from Boston College, was signed by the Sky on April 18. She missed three games in June due to an inflammatory problem in her abdomen. Queenan appeared in four games for the Sky, averaging 0.7 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game.
She was named to the All-ACC Second Team her senior year and led the Eagles with 14.8 points and 8 rebounds per game. She was selected by the Connecticut Sun in the 2006 WNBA Draft, appearing in four pre-season games. In 2007, Queenan was invited to the Seattle Storm's training camp and was waived on May 1. During the 2007-08 off-season, she played overseas for Team Aris Haroglou in Greece.
