Jet makes emergency landing at O'Hare after engine problems

A Boeing 777 landed safely at O'Hare International Airport despite experiencing engine problems shortly after takeoff.

The Air Nippon jet left O'Hare at 11:30 a.m. today but ran into trouble possibly related to a bird strike, the Federal Aviation Administration reported.

The airplane, bound for Japan, dumped fuel over Lake Michigan and was back on the ground at the airport at 12:16 p.m.
