Long Grove lift station debate lingers

The Long Grove village board on Tuesday continued discussion on a lift station on Checker Road that has residents concerned. The station is being put in to accommodate sewer lines for Menards. Some residents don't want the station in their area because of safety and aesthetic concerns. The station is also near a wetland. The engineers agreed to move the station 40 feet to the west so that it's farther from an S-curve on the road. The board agreed to revisit a couple of options but said the Checker Road site may be the only viable location.
