Judge to Stebic: No gun card, no weapons

A Will County judge has decided to return weapons seized from a suburban Chicago man whose wife has been missing for more than a year.

But Judge Richard Schoenstedt on Tuesday said Craig Stebic first needs to find someone with a valid firearm owner's ID card to receive the 24 guns.

Illinois State Police revoked Stebic's gun card last month.

The judge says a seized pickup truck will stay with police investigating Lisa Stebic's disappearance for now.

Schoenstedt set the next hearing on the seized items for September 5th.
