Police investigate deaths of two Waukegan teens

Two Waukegan teens are dead after one was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle and the other was shot in the head.

Lake County Coroner Richard Keller said the first young man, Adan Rubio, 17, was pronounced dead just after midnight Saturday at Vista Medical Center East.

Rubio was reportedly shot in the head near Belvidere and Victory streets in Waukegan.

The second teen, Edwardo Hildago, 18, was killed around 2:40 a.m. Saturday when a car hit his bicycle near the intersection of Route 41 and 21 in Gurnee, Keller said.

Police from Waukegan and Gurnee are investigating.
