2 weekend police shooting reviewed

Chicago's Independent Police Review Authority is investigating two separate police shootings on the city's South Side that left two men dead.

Sunday's shootings occurred less five miles apart -- first around 1 a.m. on the city's South Side and the other shortly after 7 p.m. in the Englewood neighborhood.

Family members identified the first victim as 39-year-old Shapell Terrell. Police say they recovered two guns from the scene, but family members dispute that claim.

Later Sunday, police fatally shot an armed man who was involved in a domestic disturbance. They say they recovered a weapon from that crime scene.

His identity hasn't been released.
