Upscale Armitage Pointe in prime Addison location

Buyers looking for a luxury move-up home in a convenient location near I-355 will appreciate this combination at Armitage Pointe, a new community of 32 semi-custom single-family homes in a prime Addison location.

Armitage Pointe by Hartz Homes recently celebrated its grand opening with three model homes now available for visitors to tour. Hartz Homes is a family-owned business that has been building homes for more than 50 years.

Homes at Armitage Pointe feature brick first-floor exteriors and maintenance-free vinyl siding on the second level, while interiors showcase upscale architectural accents like arched openings, volume ceilings and nine-foot first-floor ceilings.

Buyers can select from five floor plans with four bedrooms, 2 baths, full or partial basement and attached two- or three-car garages.

"Armitage Pointe offers the only upscale new construction homes in Addison," said Suzanne Hamilton, director of marketing for Hartz Homes. "These are larger homes that offer a brand new move-up alternative with the latest home designs and luxury amenities, plus open floor plans and practical living spaces with a lot of room."

Sandwiched between I-355 and Route 53 just north of North Avenue, Armitage Pointe offers a central location with easy access to shopping, dining, entertainment and local forest preserves.

One of the featured models, the Dalton, is priced from $479,900 and features 3,130 square feet, four bedrooms, 2 baths, second-floor laundry, sun room, full basement and attached three-car garage.

The two-story foyer with oak flooring and grand stairway sets an elegant tone for this open floor plan. Off the foyer, the living room offers plenty of seating to create a comfortable spot for conversation before dinner. Columns set off the dining room where a dark wood table with gold runner and fabric chairs sits ready to serve guests.

Showing terra cotta walls, the kitchen features stainless steel appliances, oak cabinetry, prep island for easy casual meals, walk-in pantry and breakfast area with door to the outside deck.

A terra cotta wall, wood-burning stone fireplace with mirror above and floral draperies reaching to the ceiling creates a focal point in the two-story family room. A brown leather and fabric sofa and chair offer seating. There's plenty of room for leisure activity, homework or entertainment in this spacious room.

Tucked in a corner off the family room, the sun room with optional French doors is a bright spot with lots of windows. This flexible space has many possibilities.

A spacious master suite with tray ceiling features luxurious fabric spread, chair for reading before bedtime and his-and-hers walk-in closets. The room is large enough to accommodate a variety of furniture arrangements, including a sitting area, coffee bar or corner home office.

The private bath has split vanities, whirlpool tub and walk-in shower with seat, swing door and ceramic tile surround.

This level also houses three secondary bedrooms, two with walk-in closets, and a full hall bath with dual sinks and tub with shower combination.

Although not fully decorated, The Winchester and Hartford models give home buyers a feel for how their furnishings will look in their new home. The Ruby and Wilshire designs are also offered at the community.

The Winchester, priced from $472,900, features 3,220 square feet, four bedrooms, 2 baths, study, second-floor laundry, full basement and two-car garage. The Hartford, priced from $436,900, offers 2,852 square feet, four bedrooms, 2 baths, full basement and two-car garage.

Ruby, priced from $419,900, has 2,565 square feet, four bedrooms, 2 baths, second-floor laundry room, partial basemen and three-car garage. The Wilshire is priced from $454,900 and features 3,052 square feet, four bedrooms, 2 baths, full basement and two-car garage.

Addison is an easy drive to other suburbs while Metra trains get commuters to the Loop in 40 minutes.
