Hometown college opts for LeBron's shoes

AKRON, Ohio -- LeBron James' hometown college will bear the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar's trademark.

The Akron men's basketball team has reached a three-year deal with Nike beginning this September in which the Zips' shoes and uniforms will bear Nike and James' logos.

James' high school coach, Keith Dambrot, is the Zips' head coach.

Dambrot says the deal helps to improve the team's image as it strives to become one of the top mid-major programs in the country.
