Golf Nation Ladies & Adult clinics begin: Adult clinics, Ladies Only clinics and Short Game schools begin this month. Golf League: The Survivors, a men's Wednesday evening golf league, is looking for a few players. Meets at Arlington Lakes Golf Course, This is a low-key/light-competition league and invites players of all levels of ability. Current ages in the league are from the mid 20s to the 70s. BGHS Booster's Golf Outing: Sign-in at 9 a.m., shotgun start at 10:30 a.m., June 20, Buffalo Grove Golf Course, 48 Raupp Blvd., Buffalo Grove. Play will follow a "best ball" format. $100, includes greens fee, cart, lunch ticket and hors d'oeuvres. There will also be a raffle and silent auction. Other prizes for men's and women's longest drive, hole in one and closest-to-the-pin contests. All money earned goes back to the athletic programs at Buffalo Grove High School. Pitching clinic: 5-7 p.m. June 21, Drive Performance, 1543 Abbott Drive, Wheeling. For baseball players of all ages and skill levels. Chicago Cubs relief pitcher Carlos Marmol will address the players in a group format, providing tips on pitching mechanics. Shark Frenzy Swim Meet: 8 a.m. June 21 and 22, Birchwood Pool, Palatine Park District, 435 W. Illinois Ave., Palatine Tiger Sharks Swim Team host about 500 swimmers, ages 5 and up, from around the state in this competition. Admission charged.
All-Star Sunday: June 22, Sharon 2 and Hauserman Parks, Sharon Road, just south of Schaumburg Road and just east of Braintree Drive.
