Obama offers little except socialism

James Cook (Fence Post, Sunday) practices damage control for Obama by castigating women who will now vote for McCain since their same-gendered candidate lost.

He says "After your emotional moment passes … consider why we elect anyone to office, especially those that espouse our basic political philosophy."

Using that critical thinking I ask: Why then would anyone vote for Obama, an obvious socialist ideologue, to be president of these United States of America?

Does United States of Socialist America sound better? So is the answer, "our basic political philosophy" or misguided and misplaced guilt?

And about clever belittling of women when you said "emotional moment passes," shame on you. You're supposed to be a liberal Democrat - tolerant and understanding!
