Flood warnings for Kane, Lake, McHenry counties

Flood warnings have been issued today for parts of Kane, Lake and McHenry counties.

The National Weather Service reports possible flooding of the Des Plaines River at Russell in Lake County, as well as the Fox River near Algonquin.

A crest is expected near Algonquin Thursday evening.

The Fox River is about 8 inches over flood stage.

Some flooding also reported in the Valley View subdivision north of St. Charles in Kane County.
