Fire breaks out in Hoffman Estates home
Fire caused about $150,000 in damage to a one-story Hoffman Estates house Tuesday.
Firefighters responded to 60 Douglas Court after getting a call at 3:23 p.m., Hoffman Estates fire officials said.
The first unit of firefighters arrived on the scene three minutes later, spotted smoke showing from the rear of the house and upgraded the status of the fire to bring more firefighters to the scene.
A total of 25 firefighters fought the blaze, controlling it in about 18 minutes after arrival and extinguishing it completely by 4:01 p.m. No one was injured.
Streamwood, Elk Grove, Elgin and Barrington fire departments assisted either at the fire or at the station. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
