Test your knowledge of LP and CD cover art

To some music lovers, the visual images adorning the front of a CD booklet or album cover are just as important as the tunes inside.

Would Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" have the same impact without its stark prism cover? What about the Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," U2's "Joshua Tree" or the Beastie Boys' "To the 5 Boroughs?"

Art from these and other music releases are among the pieces in the Lake County Discovery Museum's "LP Art" exhibit, which runs through Aug. 3.

Sponsored by the Daily Herald, the exhibition at the Wauconda-area museum contains sections on rock, jazz, punk, hip hop and many other genres. Hands-on activities for kids and adults are offered, too.
