Scouting report Chicago Fire at FC Dallas

Chicago Fire at FC Dallas

When: 2 p.m. today at Pizza Hut Park

TV: Channel 50

Fire outlook: The Fire (6-3-1, 19 points) will try to keep its stellar defensive play intact with a pair of new outside backs. Captain C.J. Brown is expected to return from injury to start on the right in place of Brandon Prideaux, who received a red card last week. On the left, second-year man Daniel Woolard earns his first career start in place of Gonzalo Segares, who is with the Costa Rica national team for World Cup qualifying. The good news for the Fire is that it's on the road. The team is 4-0-1 away from Toyota Park in MLS play this season.

The opponent: The Hoops continue to struggle under interim coach Marco Ferruzi after Dallas (3-5-4, 13 points) sacked Steve Morrow. Forward Kenny Cooper, at 6-feet-3, is dangerous up front, having scored 6 goals and assisted on another. This is the first game this season in the teams' Brimstone Cup rivalry.

Next: at Chivas USA, Thursday
