Beasley, Rose pay Bulls a visit next week

The Bulls won the NBA draft lottery on May 20. Now they'll finally get to eye the prizes, but can only keep one.

The top draft prospects will make two-day visits to the Berto Center next week. Kansas State power forward Michael Beasley will be in first, on Monday and Tuesday; followed by Memphis point guard Derrick Rose on Wednesday and Thursday.

The NBA draft is June 26 in New York.

The 6-foot-8 Beasley posted some monster numbers during his freshman season, averaging 26.2 points and 12.4 rebounds, while shooting 53 percent from the field.

The Maryland native helped lead Kansas State to a 21-12 record and its first NCAA Tournament victory in 20 years.

Rose, a Chicago native, averaged 14.9 points and 4.7 assists, while Memphis advanced to the NCAA title game before losing in overtime to Kansas. Before college, the 6-foot-2 Rose led Simeon High School to a pair of state championships.

Most experts believe the Bulls are leaning toward choosing Rose, but general manager John Paxson has said he'll keep an open mind until it is time to decide.
