Two survive car-train crash
Authorities say two men escaped serious injury even though the vehicle they were riding collided with a freight train on Chicago's southwest side.
Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford says the accident occurred early Saturday morning on West 63rd Street near Harlem Avenue.
Langford says the men appeared to be Polish immigrants in their 30's and were wearing traditional Polish costumes. He says the two were apparently on their way home after appearing in some sort of musical performance.
Langford says that although the SUV the men were riding in was flipped over and spun around, the men appear to have suffered only some scratches and bruises.
