Buffalo Grove

A 2007 Chevrolet Uplander was vandalized overnight June 8-9 in a business lot on the 200 block of Dundee Road. Damage was estimated at $200.

A 2000 Volkswagen Passat was broken into and a GPS unit stolen overnight June 5-6 on the 900 block of Cambridge Drive. The total loss was estimated at $500.

Wheeling

Bags of quarters totaling $1,200 were stolen out of a home on the 0-100 block of First Street between April 8 and May 28.

A 2004 GMC envoy was broken into and a GPS unit stolen June 7-8 on the 1700 block of Ottawa Court. Total loss was estimated at $600.

A 2005 Ford Escape was broken into and a GPS unit stolen overnight June 7-8 in an apartment lot on the 300 block of Woodcreek Drive. Total loss was estimated at $300.

A 2006 Honda SUV was broken into and a GPS unit stolen June 5-6 on the 400 block of Chukker Court. The total loss was estimated at $309.

David Flores, 20, 963 S. Fletcher Drive, Wheeling, was arrested June 1 and charged with unlawful use of a weapon, driving under the influence of alcohol and traffic violations. Police said after he drove off the road and hit a tree and mobile home on the 100 block of Chariot Road, and an officer later found brass knuckles in his pocket. His court date is June 24.

Jobanie Rodriguez, 19, 842 Colonial Drive, Wheeling, was arrested on the 800 block of Colonial Drive June 5 and charged with assault after police say he swore at and threatened officers during an investigation. His court date is June 26.
