Bond denied for man accused in quintuple murder
Prosecutors say two men accused of killing five people in home they wanted to rob on Chicago's South Side took pains to make it appear the crime was committed by strangers.
A Cook County judge denied bond Friday for one of the men, 22-year-old Torolan Williams.
Prosecutors say the second suspect, who remains at large, knew one of the victims and gained admittance to the house on April 23. They say the suspects shot the three men and two women as they sat on the floor.
Police say the two spent more than an hour ransacking the home and before they left, they broke the locks on the back door, hoping to mislead detectives into thinking there had been a break-in.
