The Historic Hutchinson Street House Tour offers rare public guided tours through several prairie-style homes and other architecturally intriguing buildings from the 19th and early 20th century. The Pleasant Home Foundation sponsors this tour, which is at Lake Shore Drive and Sheridan Road (north of Buena Avenue and south of Montrose Avenue) at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday. $50 admission. Shows and expos

The eighth annual Barrington Country Garden & Antique Fair is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday. More than 20 specially selected antique and boutique vendors are included, while you can take tours of special gardens with English, American and other themes. Shuttle buses leave every 15 minutes from these Barrington free parking locations: Barrington High School, 1616 W. Main St., and 800 Hart Road. On Saturday only the Hart Road lot is available.
