Dangers of driving in roadwork zones
Perhaps the state police can give me an answer in regard to the traffic on I-294 north of I-90?
I drove to the Milwaukee area twice in eight days. I drove 55 mph in the work zone and was almost run off of the road by drivers going upward of 70 to 80 mph.
My question is, should drivers maintain the speed of the pack or continue to be threatened by other drivers?
A suggestion for the police is to drive a personal auto and have a second officer riding with him, as they speed past their car. Use radar for speed and snap a picture of the plate.
Two cars going each way about an hour apart would generate plenty of revenue, enough to buy more cameras to stop the speeding in work zones.
