Carpentersville

• A Carpentersville woman Sunday stabbed a 22-year-old man three times in the shoulder with a steak knife, police said. The victim needed 14 stitches to close his wounds. Shiarra Calvin of 17 Oxford #4, was charged with aggravated domestic battery, police said. Calvin was held in the Kane County jail on $1,000 bond with a June 25 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.

Elgin

• A Chicago man was accused of drunken driving at 3:40 a.m. Wednesday after an accident. Terrell Peters, 32, of 520 W. 66th St., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent or over, no insurance, improper backing and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, police said. Peters also was wanted on a warrant for domestic battery, police said. Peters was held in the Elgin lockup on $3,000 bond with a court date Tuesday at the Kane County Judicial Center.

• An employee was accused Tuesday of under-ringing items, giving out coupons and giving cash back from debit cards between May 24 and June 10 at Meijer, 815 S. Randall Road, police said. The cash amount from under-ringing and coupons was $1,513.97; the amount of cash back from debit cards was $820, police said. Robert A. McAnelly, 20, of 135 Walnut #121C, St. Charles, was charged with felony theft, police said. McAnelly was released on recognizance with a June 26 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.

• An Xbox was stolen from a home Tuesday on the 100 block of South Alfred Avenue.

• Ten windows on a church van were broken between 5 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday on Weatherstone Lane.

Gilberts

• An Elgin teen who fled a traffic stop was arrested a short time later Wednesday morning in the Timber Trails subdivision, police said. Thaddius J. Cortez, 17, of 951 Elizabeth St., was charged with resisting a police officer, no valid driver's license, no seat belt and driving in the wrong lane of traffic, police said. The bond for Cortez was set at $100 with a July 10 court date in Elgin.
