Man's body found in water-filled strip pit
HERRIN -- Authorities in Williamson County are investigating the discovery of a 68-year-old Herrin man's body inside a pickup truck in a water-filled strip pit.
Divers found James Stacy's body Tuesday in the truck submerged in about 20 feet of water in the pit east of Energy.
The discovery came after a grandson reported Stacy missing to Marion police.
Williamson County Coroner Mike Burke says the cause of death still hasn't been determined, and tests are pending.
