KANKAKEE -- Authorities in Kankakee say a body pulled from the Kankakee River appears to be that of a man reported missing.

The body was found in the river after fishermen spotted it Monday morning. Will County Coroner Patrick O'Neal says the body was pulled out at the Chippewa Campground in Custer Township.

Kankakee City Police Detective Commander Larry Osenga says the man was reported missing Friday. His name isn't being released pending notification of next of kin.
