Death ruled a homicide

An autopsy has determined that a Chicago man found dead in his South Side apartment was murdered.

The Cook County medical examiner's office says 27-year-old Ingglace Johnson was pronounced dead at his home late Saturday night.

An autopsy Sunday determined Johnson died of blunt trauma from an assault and the death was ruled a homicide.

Police say other residents of the apartment building flagged down officers Saturday evening and told them they heard a violent disturbance in Johnson's basement apartment. When officers entered, they found Johnson dead with head injuries.
