Media should stop recession scares

The tag-a-long mainstream media have been shouting "recession" from the rooftops for seven months now and they have managed to beat this message into the heads of most Americans. Outside of the financial and housing sectors, the economy is doing quite well. The GDP has been up in the first quarter of 2008. So, are we, or are we not, in a recession?!

If not, then please stop scaring us with daily proclamations of financial woe!
