State fair ticket office now open

SPRINGFIELD -- Music fans interested in attending one or more concerts at the Illinois State Fair this summer can now buy tickets at the fairgrounds.
The ticket office opened Saturday at the Emerson Building. After July 1, the ticket office will be located in the grandstand. Tickets can also be purchased by phone at (217) 782-1979 or at ticketmaster.com.
Acts scheduled to perform at the grandstand include Fergie; Huey Lewis and the News with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts; and ZZ Top with Brooks and Dunn.
Other performers include Weird Al Yankovic; Trace Adkins; and Natasha Bedingfield with Vanessa Hudgens.
The state fair runs August 8 through August 17.
