God's real view of an abomination
In response to Nancy Herman's letter Monday, "Editorial conflicts with 'fear God' vow," I would like to respectfully suggest a careful and prayerful reading of scripture to discern what God really considered an "abomination."
Read thoughtfully and with an open mind to what God means for us today, it is evident that the reference was not to the loving, long-term commitments of gay and lesbian couples today.
In fact, God's great commandments simply speak of love for all his children.
Hopefully, one day, the wide array of differences within the human family will be accepted and celebrated everywhere, and all people, praising God, will live together in peace and love for one another.
