Joliet men held in shooting of 3
Bond has been set at $3 million each for two Joliet men charged in a shooting that wounded a 7-year-old boy and his two uncles.
Nineteen-year-old Justin Campbell and 18-year-old Mark Bew are charged with three counts of aggravated battery with a firearm in the May 21 shooting at a Joliet housing complex.
The men appeared Thursday before Will County Circuit Judge Sarah Jones via closed-circuit TV and requested representation by a public defender.
Police say several shots were fired during an argument, striking the uncles and hitting the seven-year-old in the chest as he sat on a couch with his mother. All three have been released from the hospital and are expected to recover.
