Accused 9/11 mastermind tells judge he wants death penalty
GUANTANAMO BAY NAVAL BASE, Cuba -- Alleged 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed says wants a death sentence so he can be a martyr.
Mohammed has told a judge at his arraignment on war-crimes charges that he would welcome being put to death for organizing the terrorist attacks on America.

Marine Col. Ralph Kohlmann told the al-Qaida leader Thursday that he could face the death penalty if convicted. Mohammed's response: "Yes, this is what I wish, to be a martyr for a long time."
