Pfleger's apology is just not enough

Rev. Michael Pfleger's recent vaudeville act at the Trinity United Church of Christ cannot be tolerated.

His tirade before the congregation not only attacked the white race but the women of the world.

If a prominent black person had been the object of this type of attack, Rev. Jesse Jackson and Rev. Al Sharpton would both be calling for marching in the streets on how this person insulted the black race.

Rev. Pfleger's "I'm sorry" is not enough.

He is supposed to be a priest calling for peace and harmony between blacks and whites, women and men, not make speeches that can inflame opposite races and sexes.

He can't say he got caught up in the moment, nor can he claim that the church itself is possessed by a demon or the devil that made him speak like that.

Rev. Pfleger should know better and I suspect that he does.

He has gotten away with a lot of things in the past with his shenanigans for the press.

He has lost his way a s a priest and Cardinal George should remove him as pastor and transfer him or at least order him into a silent sabbatical for a year or two to find his way back to do what he took a vow to do.
