Pro-abortion candidates and Pfleger

When Pope Benedict visited the United States, several politicians including Nancy Pelosi and Rudy Guilliani, who support the right to abortion received communion during the Pope's masses held in Washington and New York.

Guilliani was told by Cardinal Eagan of New York that he should not receive the sacrament and they had a agreement which Guilliani did not live up to. Now we have the Rev. Pfleger who has been criticized for his comments when speaking at Barack OBama's church.

As a Catholic priest, he should not be openly preaching and supporting any candidate. More importantly, he is supporting a candidate who supports abortion and has stated he would only appoint judges to the supreme court who would uphold abortion rights.

The Catholic Church is against abortion at any stage of pregnancy and I was surprised that Cardinal George has given him a "pass" on this issue. The Rev. Pfleger should have been reprimanded and possibly suspended from his duties as a Catholic priest if he continues to support pro-abortion candidates.
