Kirk deserves vote for his dedication

This letter is in rebuttal to Stephanie Victor, of Lake Forest, who incorrectly stated in her recent letter to the editor that Congressman Kirk voted against House Resolution 1113 "Celebrating the role of mother in the United States and supporting the goals and ideals of Mother's Day."

I personally found it difficult to believe that any astute politician would vote against mothers and/or apple pie. Therefore I did some research on house.gov which revealed that this resolution passed 412-0 with Congressman Kirk voting "Aye"!

Come November, I encourage ALL mothers to vote for Congressman Kirk, rather than Dan Seals (who, by the way, does not reside in our district) not just because Congressman Kirk obviously celebrates, respects and honors all mothers, but because of the outstanding work he has done for the constituents in "his" district.
